Plan B Credit ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our website and services.

In short: We collect what's needed to evaluate your loan application. We share your data with our RBI-registered NBFC partner and credit bureaus (only after your explicit consent) for the purpose of underwriting and disbursal. We do not sell your data. You can request deletion at any time.

1. Who we are

Plan B Credit is a digital Lending Service Provider (LSP) operating in India. We act as a platform connecting borrowers with an RBI-registered NBFC partner for personal loans. Plan B Credit itself is not a lender.

2. Information we collect

When you use our service, we may collect:

Identity: Name, date of birth, gender, PAN card number
Contact: Mobile number, email address, residential address, city, state, pincode
Financial: Employment type, employer name, years employed, monthly income, existing EMI obligations
Loan details: Amount requested, tenure, purpose
Consent records: Timestamps, IP address, and user agent at the time you provided consent
Device & usage: IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, session data, cookies
Credit bureau data: Your credit report (CIBIL/Experian/Equifax/CRIF), fetched only after your explicit consent

3. How we use your information

To evaluate your loan application and determine eligibility
To share with our NBFC partner for sanction and disbursal (only after your consent)
To obtain your credit information from credit bureaus (only after your consent)
To communicate with you regarding your application, status updates, and offers
To comply with legal and regulatory requirements (RBI DLG, KYC, AML, DPDP Act)
To prevent fraud and ensure account security
To improve our website and services

4. Sharing your information

We share your data with:

RBI-registered NBFC partner: For credit evaluation, sanction, and disbursal. Sharing happens after your explicit consent on the application form.
Credit information companies: CIBIL, Experian, Equifax, CRIF · for credit bureau checks. Soft inquiry at eligibility stage (no CIBIL impact); hard inquiry only at NBFC sanction stage with your consent.
Service providers: Cloud hosting, email delivery, technical infrastructure · subject to confidentiality and DPDP-compliant data processing agreements.
Regulatory authorities and law enforcement: When required by Indian law.

We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data security

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS/SSL encryption in transit, secure database storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. We comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) requirements for data processing.

Under the DPDP Act and other applicable Indian law, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)

We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal obligations. Per RBI guidelines, loan-related records are typically retained for 7-10 years from the date of loan closure. You may request earlier deletion of marketing-related data by emailing privacy@planb.credit.

9. Children's privacy

Our services are intended only for users aged 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the website or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
